Daniel Amartey has deleted all Black Stars-related contents from his verified official Instagram account.
Despite being fit enough to play, the Besiktas defender has yet to feature a single match for the Black Ghana national team at the AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast.
Daniel Amarety, who has struggled to break into the Black Stars’ starting lineup at the AFCON, is an assistant deputy captain in place of Thomas Partey.
He has previously captained the Black Stars in World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

His captaincy since 2018 has sparked a lot of criticism from football critics and analysts, who want Jordan Ayew to be appointed before him.
Amartey is no longer required by the Black Stars, and the reason for his absence is unknown, but the 29-year-old has suffered a number of injuries.
After the Black Stars’ play against Egypt, Amartey addressed the mental status of Inaki Williams and Osman Bukari, asserting that they will be fine and that the team will still qualify for the next round with more focus and improved communication.
