Shatta Wale has slammed Ghanaian musicians as he backed Fameye’s comment that “Ghanaians outside Ghana don’t like attending shows but rather pay to watch Nigerian artistes perform.”
According to Shatta Wale, Ghanaian musicians are “Travel and Tour” artists, unlike Nigerians who travel abroad for business purposes.
The entire situation began when Asake sold out one of the largest auditoriums in the world, the o2 Arena in London, which has a capacity of 20,000 seats.

Initially, Shatta Wale over the years has declared that he will not travel outside of Ghana solely to impress fans, despite the fact that some fans refer to him as the “Local Champion.”
However, Fameye’ revealed the “hard truth” in an interview on Tv3 after shedding light on how Ghanaians outside the country do not support GH musicians when artist put on shows despite massive promotion, but rather spend their money levelling up and watching Nigerian artistes perform at events.

In response to this comment, Shatta Wale took to social media to blast his Ghanaian colleagues, stating that the “Nothing I Get” hitmaker was accurate on the spot to make such revelation.

The ‘OnGod’ singer additionally suggested that all musicians join together to preach their grievances to stakeholders and music investors in order to find solutions to problems in the Ghana music ecosystem.

He went further and say that Fameye can’t contain the lies any more that have been painted in the eyes of many Ghanaians with an ideology that when artistes travel outside of Ghana, they are usually on a good course to sell out shows.
