Ghanaian students on scholarship, studying in Morocco have become stranded as they pleads with the Ghanaian government to assistance.
According to the students, they are struggling to pay their tuition fees, as well as to meet their basic needs and cover the cost of living in Morocco.
The students attribute their difficulties to high cost of living exacerbated by the ‘depreciation of the Ghanaian Cedi currency.
They expressed that, some of them are being evicted from their accommodations due to unpaid rent forcing them sleep outside
Additionally, the students believe that their lives are in danger because they were given a one-week ultimatum to leave the country.
They urgently appeal to Ghana’s government for immediate assistance to solve their desperate plight.
In response to the news, Agya Kwabena, a UTV Ghana presenter, shed tears as he reported on the students’ situation in Morocco.
He questioned why governments could authorise scholarships for students to study in Morocco, but why couldn’t the same be done to examine their well-being after admitted.

However, the Ghanaian government, led by Akufo Addo, has yet to come to their rescue in order to escape the country.
