Ghana’s Ministry of Health (MoH), which is part of the government, requested for the recruitment of government workers in various health sectors.
According to a statement issued on Friday, July 26, 2024, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has approved financial permission for the employment of over 15,000 nurses and midwives.
It was mentioned that the recruitment day will begin next month, on August 5, 2024. The ministry also has an official website where individuals with skills can log in and apply for jobs based on their credentials.
The letter further stated that the deadline for candidates to submit their applications is “Friday, August 23, 2024 at 6 p.m.”
“The public is kindly informed that the recruitment process is very transparent. Applicants should therefore be aware of any person who may approach them on the pretext of assisting them for recruitment at a fee.
“The Ministry therefore advises all applicants not to make any payment for this process. Whoever pays money does so at his/her own risk.” — MoH announce in the statement.
Meanwhile, for the past four years, nearly 75,000 graduate unemployed nurses and midwives have complained about a lack of employment after completing their education.
The government stopped employing nurses and midwives in the middle of 2019, falling short to their plight across of the country.
