Friday wasn’t a good day for many Ghanaians as their beloved National Team, Black Stars was eliminated from the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ghana faced Uruguay in the Group H final match which saw the the South Americans eliminating the Black Stars after defeating them 2-0 Al Janoub stadium.
Despite Uruguay winning their match against Black Stars, the Le Celeste team were also knocked out from the competition following South Korea’s victory over Portugal on that same day.

Andre Dede Ayew took the penalty but missed the vital moment by failing to put the ball into the net, causing Black Stars to lose by two goals to nil.
Kudus speaking for the first time on Ghana’s elimination from the World Cup, expressed his sadness at seeing them return home after giving their all in both games to advance to the next stage of the competition. “It’s a big disappointment, we have a young team, we will improve — he said.
Speaking on Dede Ayew’s penalty miss, which has gotten a lot of attention and caused a lot of pain for many Ghanaians, the Ajax Star stated that: “ I don’t think Dede’s penalty affected us, he is a leader, our captain”
Kudus went further and extended his appreciation to football supporters for their tremendous support throughout the World Cup campaign. “I would like to thank the fans who helped us supported it’s a disappointment but we’ll come back stronger”— He concluded.
