Mubarak Wakaso, who predicted Christian Atsu’s death with a tweet, has given more insight following the Ghanaian international’s death, saying that he called him days before he went missing during the Turkey earthquake.
The ex-Black Stars midfielder claimed that he had a phone call with Atsu after scoring a goal against Kimpasa a few days before his death.
Christian Atsu scored Hatayspor’s only goal against Kimpasa on a free kick in the 90th minute after being brought in the 82nd minute.
In a heartwarming video, he and his teammates celebrated massively after defeating Kimpasa (1-0) in the Süper Lig.
Mubarak Wakaso, who is known to be friend of Christian Atsu, also claimed that he immediately called the winger after seeing his goal footage on social media.

He went on to say that during their phone conversation, he made fun of Atsu for making social media noise because he scored a “not so amazing goal.”

“I had a phone call with Atsu….and i told him to stop making noise over that ‘allo’ goal and he laughed over it. We talked for a while before he told me he was going to call back. That callback would have taken two to three days to happen but the unfortunate thing happened the next day,” he said.

Mubarak Wakaso and Atsu both played for Black Stars team and are known to be best friends who have a lot of fun with their playful tweets and comments on social media.
