Fast rising Ghanaian rapper, Kwame Yogot has disclosed how the ruling government, New Patriotic Party(NPP) offered to pay him whooping amount of money and what transpired afterwards.
Speaking with ace broadcaster, Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, Kwame Yogot revealed that the NPP through certain big wings approached him in 2023 with a substantial offer to use his hit song titled “Biibi Besi” for their 2024 general election campaign.
It will be recalled that in June 2023, the rapper criticized the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia and his campaign team for using the song without prior notice and permission.

According to him, a team led by Nana Akomeah offered GH₵500,000 for the rights to the song which according to him was okay but his management had other plans.
He explained that although the offer was tempting, it did not materialize due to disagreements with his now former management.
“At the time, my management was demanding GH₵1 million instead, and given the issues I was having with them, I didn’t see the need to pursue it further,” he said.
