Ghana National Team Chief Drummer, Joseph Langabel, has a U-turn after spreading falsehoods about hairstylist Abiba Locks being the cause of the team’s elimination from the World Cup.
This comes after a video went viral on social media showing Joseph Langabel, a Chief drummer, making a damning disclosure about why Abiba Azul, also known as Abiba Locks, had been bringing bad luck to Black Stars whenever she set foot at the Camp to do the players’ hair.
Langabel also mentioned in the viral video that it has happened numerous times since 2014 and that it nominally happens when Abiba enters the camp, prompting the team manager to stop her from entering the place.
This prompted Abiba Locks to clear the air where she was seen in a self recorded video shedding tears and stated that; it’s all lies and even women are not allowed to enter Black Stars camp or hotel.
Many people saw the viral video as an attempt to ruin the woman’s business and cause public indignation, and Langabel was criticized for it.
However in a latest development, Langabel retracted his statement claimed all he said in the previous interview about Abiba as he apologized for his earlier statements that he erred by falsely accusing Abba Locks
According to him, he said it was casual (Loose Talk) conversation since he was still in shock at Ghana’s humiliating loss against Uruguay at the Qatar World Cup.
“I’m not at the Black Stars camp. When you lose a painful match like this anything that comes to mind you say to free your mind. I don’t even know the woman and I haven’t been to the Black Stars camp,” Langabel said.
