A few hours after Joseph R. Biden Jr. also known as Joe Biden pulled out of the presidential race, the America’s president has backed Kamara Harris as the US Democratic Party nominee for the 2024 re-election campaign.
As earlier reported by hellovybes Kamala Harris, who is Joe Biden’s current vice president, is the ideal candidate to succeed the country’s first gentleman.
In his statement announcing his intention to withdraw from the contest, Biden did not name Kamala as his replacement, instead citing his and his members’ decision.
Many people expressed concern over his age, which may have contributed to his decision not to run for President of the United States.
The exact time Joe Biden will leave the White House is unclear but he has asked supporters to show their support for Kamala Harris.
Joe Biden, 81, later took to the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, to support Kamala Harris as his successor as the Democratic Party contender.
“Today, I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,” he writes.”

The US Presidential elections will take place on Tuesday, November 5, with Democrats facing off against Donald Trump’s Republican Party, which is desperate for power to re-enter the White House after being voted out in 2020.
Meanwhil, if Kamala Harris is elected, she will be the first female president in 73 years.
