A 35-year-old married woman identified as Faustina Richter finger nearly chopped off after she acquired a wedding ring from a friend to replace her lost one in Kasoa.
Faustina Richter disclosed that her original wedding ring had gone missing a few months earlier, prompting her to seek assistance from her friend who sells rings.
During an interview with Utv news, Faustina Richter recounted that she experienced swelling in her hand a day after wearing the ring.
Despite her attempts to remove the tightly stuck ring, she was unable to do so.
The situation escalated to the point where medical professionals from Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital, as well as pastors, had to intervene in order to safely remove the ring.
