Kwame A Plus, an MP for Gomoa Central, has threatened to expose the alleged killer of Ahmed-Husein Suale, an investigative journalist, if Ghana Police fail to keep Ghanaians updated on the 2019 murder case.
According to A Plus, a high-profile minister whose identity (name) is unknown assassinated Armed Suale, who died six years ago.
He shared these new allegations in a social media post on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, emphasising how the Ghana Police have been sleeping on the case since his invitation to the station last year.
His invitation to the police on July 15, 2024 led to A Plus’s claim saying he knows information about the death of the former Tiger-Eye worker.
In explaining his invitation to the police station, the officials claim that he will help them find the culprits and bring them to justice.
However, the former hip life artist now seems to be more concern over sad Ahmed Suale’s tragic death have revisited the case again.
He urged Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials to take action on the case since he believes he provided vital proof to back up his claims during the investigative process.
A Plus then demanded answers from Ghana’s law enforcement agency as he issues 48-hour ultimatum else, he will summon them for failure to do so.
“Last year, I was invited to the CID headquarters to provide information regarding the murder of Ahmed Suale. During the meeting, l identified a high-profile minister from the previous government who was allegedly involved in contracting assailants to carry out the crime. I also disclosed my source, a highly credible one, in the presence of the CID director.
It is critical that the CID director updates the public on the progress of the investigation and indicate with justification whether additional time is required.
At this point, it appears the matter has been sidelined. If no update is provided within 48 hours, I will invoke my authority as a Member of Parliament to formally summon the Ghana Police Service to brief Parliament on this case. Should that fail, I will utilize my Facebook and other social media platforms to update the nation on what I know about the matter which shall include the name of the alleged perpetrator” — he stated.
