Legendary Highife artist, Nana Acheampong has been accused of sampling Patapaa’s song following the release of his new single.
The ‘champion lover’ collaborated with Hiplife singer Fameye to release their latest song, “Y3 Wo Nyame” which many claim is a copy of Patapaa’s 2021 song “Haters ft. Wendy Shay and Twicy.”
Among Patapaa, Kurl Songx’s song Jennifer Lomotey ft. Sarkodie, is one of the songs which also has the same rhythm just like Nana Acheampong’s song.
Nevertheless, African Brothers Band International, a musical group led by the late Nana Ampadu, also joined the debate with their 1981 big smash hit song “Agatha,”.

The aforementioned songs originally ripped off its rhythm and beat composition despite having their different lyrics.
Meanwhile, just a few days after its official release, “Y3 Wo Nyame” has received over 62k views on YouTube.
Despite their varied and unique genres in hopping on a song, the song has truly demonstrated Nana Acheampong’s and Fameye’s distinctive talents.
