Russia has issued a strong warning to US President Trump over his decision to strike Iran nuclear sites with his military force as part of its conflict with Israel.
Moscow officials described the attack as “opening Pandora’s box,” cautioning that the global repercussions of this move could go far beyond what anyone can now predict.
According to Kremlin, during the meeting last night, they have no idea what the can of warms will bring because it might grow quickly and get out of hand.
The statement follows US bombings on Iran, which targeted Teheran’s nuclear
Following the invasion, Trump praised it as a success, noting that the move was a defensive measure to prevent future threats.
He even claims that an audacious attack by a squadron of stealth bombers in the early hours of yesterday took the bomb right out of Iran’s hands.
In retaliation, Putin’s administration condemns Trump’s airstrikes on Iran, accusing the US of making a decision that might destabilise the Middle East into more global conflicts.
Moscow’s United Nations ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, issued an ominous warning at an emergency Security Council meeting, saying “No one knows what new catastrophes and suffering it will bring”
He also claimed that, Russia had offered a mediation talks in its effort to peace and stability to a mutually and aggreeable solution to Iran’s nuclear program but US especially its leaders are not interested in diplomacy today.
‘Unless we stop the escalation,’ Nebenzia warned, ‘the Middle East will find itself on the verge of a large-scale conflict with unpredictable consequences for the entire international security system, plus the entire world might end up on the verge of a nuclear disaster.’’
Following the strike on Iran, Trump took to his Truth Social media pages to criticise current Iranian leadership, arguing that it will not make them “great again”
Why wouldn’t there be a regime change,’ Trump asked, rhetorically – even as he and Starmer urged Ayatollah Khamenei to ‘return to the negotiation table as soon as possible.’
Ex- Russian president Dmitriy Medvedev also added his voice denouncing that, US’ strikes on three sites in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow had backfired and led to the opposite result from what Trump had set out to achieve.
In a Twitter post now known as X shared on Sunday, Medvedev claimed: ‘Enrichment of nuclear material – and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons – will continue.’ — as quoted by dailymail.co.uk.
Medvedev, who has served as President of Russia from 2008 to 2012, further stated that ‘Iran’s political regime has survived – and in all likelihood, has come out even stronger’.
He continued to claim that Iranians are ‘rallying around the country’s spiritual leadership, including those who were previously indifferent or opposed to it’.
His anti-US and pro-Iran social media rant was posted in English and broken down into ten points – gathering more than three million views.
As at now, Russia is fully prepared and keenly watching the outcome after Trump’s US military strike on Iran which they deemed it could spark wider war and global chaos.
