Sam George has made a surprise revelation that he once gave Sarkodie an opportunity to perform at a big show when the rapper was a backup artist for music duo R2Bees.
This follows when Sam George was reacting to Yvonne Nelson’s new book as he recounted the incident shedding light on the Sarkodie early career.
Speaking on Joy News, the lawmaker stated emphatically that he played a role in Sarkodie’s musical journey by offering him a platform to showcase his talent when he was R2Bees’ backup artist years ago.
“Sarkodie is someone I’ve known for very many years.. and at the time I gave Sarkodie a show, he was a backup artiste to R2Bees when I took him to Cape coast in my previous life at Legon” — Sam George said in interview.
When sharing his opinion on the book, the lawmaker stated that, despite Yvonne Nelson’s bold attempt to write her life experience in the memoir, certain things should be remained private.
He also applauded king Sark’s wife, Tracy for her demeanor to the movie star’s claim that the “Country Side” hitmaker had impregnated and aborted her child years ago.
Sam George is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, a suburb in Greater Accra Region.
