Shatta Wale made a heartfelt call to his fellow musicians, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, to join him for a unity performance at his upcoming Freedom Wave Concert this year.

The dancehall artist shared his excitement on social media, emphasising the beauty of seeing all three “S’s” on the same stage.

He made it clear that Sarkodie and Stonebwoy must appear on his show.

Despite occasional clashes within their fanbases, many people have been anticipating a joint performance by these three great musicians.

Shatta Wale wrote; “For your info ,sarkodie and stonebwoy will be performing at #FWF23 if they like it  or not !!! “PEACE AND UNITY BEFORE NEXT YEAR ELECTIONS”.

The Ghanaian music industry, particularly its musicians, has had obstacles in organising foreign events, even at smaller venues, over the years.

Promoters, stakeholders, and event organizers have struggled to generate significant sales, leading to disappointment and discouraging potential investors.

Could division among Ghanaian artists be contributing to this problem? It’s an issue worth debating.

There’s no denying that Ghana possesses exceptional talent compared to neighboring countries, often setting and surpassing high standards in international venues.

However, the disunity and favoritism within the industry are major challenges that hinder its international recognition.

Some industry leaders tend to overlook talented individuals simply because they aren’t their personal favorites, causing promising talents to fade away.

Furthermore, issues like show lobbying, where gatekeepers select artists for gigs without considering their ability to make the show successful, worsen the problem.

Artists, on the other hand, should be blamed for the industry’s failure, and if they can put their pride and ego aside in order to work together with one goal in mind, the industry will succeed.

A joint performance by Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie would undoubtedly bring joy to many.

If this unity prevails, it could channel positive energy into making Ghana proud on the international stage.

Let’s wait and see how things unfold.
