Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale has revealed why he loves his stepmother more than his biological mother, Madam Elsie Avemegah in a video.
According to him, his stepmother Mrs. Stella Gasu who died in 2022 cared after him and his children when his mother divorced his father Shatta Capo.
He made this disclosure on a Facebook live, stating that although he adores his mother but his love for his stepmother is unmatched.
The singer highlights the positive impact deceased Mrs Gasu had on his life, adding that she will not tarnish his image despite their disagreements and arguments on some issues.
Shatta Wale clarifies why he cut his hair stating that it is to commemorate and pay last respects to his stepmother after her passing.
“My stepmother became my best friend. She was taking care of Majesty and Cherissah, and it was beautiful. I am working hard, and it is my dream to make money, support my stepsister, and make her feel good. Her stepmother said a lot about my father, which made him love her even more.
“Recently i was there, and my father told me he wants to celebrate Auntie Stella after her death, but I told him I can’t, so that’s why I cut my hair because a dead deserves some respect.”
“Auntie Stella is one of the people I’ve met as a stepmother because she’s lovely and treats me like her son. She took care of Majesty like her own kid and Cherissah, who spent time with her, and it was beautiful ,” Shatta Wale stated.
