Jamaican dancehall artist Spice has addressed the controversy surrounding her omission of Shatta Wale’s name in interviews during her visit in Ghana.
Fans had criticized her for not mentioning Shatta Wale when listing Ghanaian artists she knows.
Spice clarifies that her decision was intentional and rooted in her purpose for visiting Ghana.
She explains that her trip was organized and funded by Stonebwoy, with whom she collaborated on their song Jiggle & Whine.

In her final interview before returning to Jamaica, she explains that there was no malice behind her omission.
Spice says that Stonebwoy had also introduced her to the larger Ghanaian music industry, which includes both him and Shatta Wale, so the omission is completely coincidental.
