President Nana Akufo-Addo granted American musician Stevie Wonder Ghanaian citizenship after his visit to the country.
Stevie Wonder was confirmed as a Ghanaian citizen on Monday May 13, 2024 after taking the oath of allegiance and receiving a certificate of citizenship upon arrival in Ghana.
The legendary musician landed in Ghana as he was greeted by a large crowd at Kotoka International Airport.
He was also welcomed by a local cultural group, who began with a cultural dance and performance while playing a drum.

Stevie Wonder whose real name is Stevland Hardaway Morris was impressed by the sound of the Kpanlogo drums, a traditional Ghanaian barrel drum often used in music and dance performances.
