Ghanaian Political activist Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has predicted that the cedi is about to experience a massive improvement than it already has.
As of Friday, December 16, 2022, the Ghana Cedi was trading against the US dollar at a buying price of GH9.00 while selling at GH¢8.0055 on the interbank forex market.
As a result of this development, social commentator A Plus foretells that the local currency will likely appreciate further in the coming days.
Aside from A Plus, a slew of Ghanaian celebrities have reacted to the Ghana Cedi’s performance improvement against foreign currencies, particularly the US dollar.
Kwame A Plus, Lydia Forson, Prince David Osei, and others have taken to social media to express their satisfaction at the cedi’s improvement in value against the major foreign currency, the US dollar.
These individuals form part netizens who believe the development could be a sign of relief from the country’s current economic difficulties.
Others, however, insist that the development isn’t worth celebrating if prices for goods and services remain stagnant, whiles the dollar appears to be performing well.
