Police officials in Peru have made a vowed to arrest three thieves who broke into a shoe shop and stole 200 sneakers worth $13,400 not knowing they were all for the right foot.
According to reports, the interesting incident occurred on Sunday, April 30, in the central Peruvian city of Huancayo.
According to Business Insider, the crime was captured on video by the store’s security cameras. It shows the thieves breaking the padlock on their third attempt at 3:30 a.m on Sunday and fleeing on a tricycle carrying boxes of shoes.
The thieves stole sneakers from well-known global brands but did not double check that if they hadpicked both right and left foot.
According to the BBC, local police chief Eduan Daz told Peruvian media that attempts were underway to arrest the criminals.
“We have gathered evidence at the scene. The unusual thing about this robbery is that shoes from only the right foot have been stolen.
“With the footage and the fingerprints, we will be able to locate those individuals,” Eduan Daz said.
