Vybz Kartel Links Up with DJ Khaled Ahead of ‘Viking’ Album Release
Jamaican dancehall legend Vybz Kartel has linked up with renowned disk jockey and record producer DJ Khaled following his attendance at the 2025 Grammys in the United States.
The two met at Ciroc Studios ahead of Kartel’s next album, Viking (Vybz Is King) 10th Year Anniversary to celebrate his influential 2015 album after his released from prison.
According to online reports, DJ Khaled is set to feature on the upcoming album, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
The American DJ shared his excitement with fans, expressing his eagerness for the project to drop.

Vybz Kartel announced the Viking album on January 30, 2025. This sparked the interest of many fans who were already looking forward to the album’s release.
This follows just months after Kartel’s First Week Out EP, which was released on July 24 last year and featured 12 solid tracks.
Before hinting about the anniversary edition, Vybz Kartel released “Amout” two weeks ago, as well as party anthem “Str8 Vybz.”
The Viking album will also include songs like “God Is The Greatest,” “It A Tape,” “Dreams Are Made Of,” “Polite,” and a collaboration with dancehall musician Ishawna titled “entertainment news Flick.”
The ‘Amout’ song which is accompanied by an official music video has racked up over 2.4 million views on YouTube within a month.
It has also generated more than 9,000 comments from fans praising Kartel’s signature dancehall style.
With DJ Khaled now on board and expectations soaring, Viking (Vybz Is King) is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated dancehall projects of the year.
