In the footage, Cheddar is seen drinking a sachet water on the street, just like an ordinary Ghanaian, which has caught the public’s interest.
In the clip, the New Force Movement leader appears standing atop a campaign caravan while dressed in all black with a customised T-shirt and pant as part of his political campaign tour.
While waving to the fans lined on the street, one supporter hands him a sachet of water, which he graciously accepts and begins to drink despite not requesting it.
The video garnered a lot of attention, with many admirers praising Cheddar for his humility and down-to-earth demeanour, something they value in an aspiring presidential candidate.
Others argue that, although drinking sachet water isn’t always associated with poverty, Cheddar‘s willingness to engage in this everyday action appeals with ordinary citizens and is perceived as a sign of humility in order to seek their votes for presidency.
