Red 225 tablets are currently trending on Ghana’s social media platforms, particularly Twitter (now known as X).
The drug has received a lot of attention in Ghana, and many people believe it has a negative impact on young people (both men and women) who use it.
They are urging authorities to take immediate action and probe the Food and Drug Authorities (FDA) about its approval because they believe it’s causing more harm to the youths.

What is Red 225 Tablet?
Red 225 Tablet is a round, red tramadol-like tablet that contains 10 mg of Tranylcypromine Sulphate. It belongs to the monoamine oxidase inhibitor drug class.
Red 225 Tablet Uses
It is used to treat major depressive disorder (MDD), especially when other antidepressants have not been effective.
Red 225 inhibits the enzyme monoamine oxidase, increasing neurotransmitter levels (serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine) in the brain.

The most common negative effects of Red 224 tablets or pills are dizziness, sleeplessness, dry mouth, constipation, and low blood pressure.
When combined with certain foods or medications, it increases the chance of a high blood pressure crisis.
