Twene Jonas is likely to face deportation from the United States to Ghana following Donald Trump’s victory at the 2024 presidential election.
This comes when Trump before the election promised to use local police to deport millions of undocumented migrants if elected president which he describes as the “largest deportation program in American history”.
Donald Trump who is set to become the 47th U.S. president, defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, securing 51% of the votes to Harris’s 47%.
With Trump’s re-election, discussions around his immigration policy have resurfaced online, and fans are speculating about its impact on Jonas, who has gained popularity by frequently criticizing Ghanaian leaders on social media.
Many online commenters particularly on X platform believe Ghanaian officials including government leaders, chiefs, and pastors may support Trump’s initiative, potentially complicating Jonas’s stay in the U.S.
This speculation has led to Jonas trending on X (formerly Twitter), as users share his photos and tease him about a potential return to Ghana.

Twene Jonas however confidently refuted claims that he would be deported while speaking to his supporters on Facebook Live video session.
He runs during live streaming after noticing several police vehicles parked near the courthouse.
He stated that he was not terrified by Trump’s potential plans and did not feel he would be forced to leave.
