Yvonne Nelson, an actress and movie producer, has called on Ghanaians to join her in another DumsorMustStop vigil against the country’s erratic power supply.
Yvonne Nelson released a lengthy statement in which he urged Ghanaians to rally their support for the power crisis known locally as Dumsor.
Her statement with the themed “Join Me On Another DumsorMustStop Virgil” comes as many Ghanaians are concerned about the power outages by the Electricity Company of Ghana, which is refusing to release the Dumsor timetable.
Nelson expressed profound concern over the resurgence of the crippling power outage issue in a touching statement, calling for a concerted effort to hold the nation’s leaders accountable.

The letter to a fellow Ghanaian pointed out Nelson’s history as a positive change advocate, including the 2015 DumsorMustStop campaign, which she spearheaded with other significant figures.
Celebrities such as Prince David Osei, D Black, Van Vicker, Efya, Sarkodie, Barima Sidney, and DKB supported the campaign to ensure its success.
Yvonne Nelson addressed the difficulties she and other peers encountered at the time, emphasising the importance of another collaborative effort to call out the reoccurring power crisis.
She referred to Dumsor’s persistence, characterising it as a hindrance to the country’s progress.
Nelson emphasised that the call for the DumsorMustStop campaign is not based on party affinities, but rather on fighting poor leadership and resolving the power crisis, regardless of individual political differences.
Nelson urged Ghanaians to join her in the next chapter of the DumsorMustStop demo, mentioning prominent figures from Imani Ghana, Kofi Bentil, and Franklin Cudjoe, to seek their support and collaboration in organising another DumsorMustStop Vigil.
However, she concluded by stating that, despite her call, she has yet to receive a response regarding their interest to support another vigil.
