The group arrived in London on Sunday, August 6, 2023, after they spent days on the road, exploring various countries and admiring the beauty of nature.

The trip, organized by Wanderlust Ghana, revealed that they arrived around noon GMT (1:00 pm BST) and the group joyfully captured their historic journey in an online video.

This extraordinary expedition started on Sunday, July 23, 2023, when they departed from Accra and drove through captivating locations such as Aburi, Nsawam, Kumasi, and Sunyani to reach Dorma. From there, they ventured in to Cote d’Ivoire via Golokrom.

Originally, they started with 12 participants and used five Ghanaian registered vehicles, including a Mercedes Benz, G-Wagon, two Toyota Landcruisers (V8), Lexus RX 350 and a cord F150 Raptor.

The number of travelers decreased as the journey progressed. Nevertheless, the group persevered with enthusiasm and determination.

The group covered an average distance of 600km to 700km per day.

The adventurous group accomplished a remarkable feat by reaching Monaco on Friday August, 4, 2023.

Throughout their journey, they traversed five countries namely Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Senegal, Mauritania and Morocco and crossed into Europe via ferry from the Mediterranean to Algeciras in Spain, before driving to Barcelona via Valencia.

Sharing their awe-inspiring experiences of moving through the desert, the team recounted how some of the Toyota vehicles required multiple brake pad changes whiles others continued their relentless journey without any brake pad replacements

As a token of celebration, the group will be welcomed at the Ashford Kent Outlet Mall for a grand reception party, where they will undoubtedly be honored for their extraordinary achievement.
