Ghanaians discovered with sadness after sunset on Saturday that the wife of the vice presidential candidate, Samira Bawumia, narrowly escaped death following a horrific accident on the Accra-Kumasi road.
Sadly, one of her bodyguards passed away in a collision with a private bus. AlthoughSamira remained unharmed, but her personal bodyguard identified as Fuseini, succumbed to the crash..
The accident involved a Toyota Land Cruiser from Samira Bawumia’s convoy.
Fortunately, eight other people were rescued and the four injured were immediately sent to at a nearby hospital, the Ghana National Fire Service said in a statement.

Fueini who tragically passed away in an accident, had been a member of Samira Bawumia’s family since 2008 and started working with her family after attending Accra Academy in the 1996 academic year.
Fuseini’s death sparked an outpouring of condolences on social media, with netizens expressing their sorrow for him with RIP messages.
