Popular Nigerian comedian Basket Mouth has said that Shatta Wale’s generosity had humbled him after receiving a free verse from him for his upcoming album.
Speaking with host Andy Dosty on the HitzFm Daybreak Show, Basket Mouth said he appreciated the dancehall Artist’s response to his request for a collaboration.
According to him, Shatta Wale told him that he will not charge him nor take a penny and that he should keep everything, including royalties, after recording his verse.
Basket Mouth also went further and claimed he is pleased with Shatta Wale’s kind and humble gesture towards him.

“Me and Shatta Wale, the way he responded….Oh yes I’ve known him for a while but we’ve never had the opportunity to really speak properly”
“And I told him that, dude I’m working on this album I would like to drop and I sent him the song, he loved it, he was done with it under few hours he had given me and he nailed it”
“And the guy said something quite interesting, you know what? It’s for free, you don’t need to pay me any royalty or anything take it it is yours. No body has ever done that before and to think the he is Ghanaian brother it made me humble” – he said
