The statue of former President Nana Akufo-Addo has been completely destroyed for the second time by an unknown person.
The statue, situated at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital roundabout in Sekondi, was vandalised on Sunday night, January 12, 2025.
It was damaged from head to toe, yet the stand on which the monument was mounted remained unharmed.
The rationale behind the statue’s vandalism is unknown, although residents of Sekondi-Takoradi told hellovybes media that it is not worth it.m
They believe the statue could have been commissioned and honored Akufo Addo’s hometown, Kyebi.
Others condemned the unidentified perpetrators for causing harm to the figure, urging authorities to investigate and prosecute them.
Meanwhile, no government authorities or security officers have appeared to witness the incidence as of the time of this report.
