Takoradi Mallam Reportedly on the Run After Alleged Abuse of Over 20 Minors
Takoradi Mallam reportedly ‘chop’ over 20 children as Ghana Police declared him wanted
A Takoradi-based Islamic teacher named as Mallam Sule Anas has reportedly gone into hiding after being declared wanted by the Ghana Police over allegations of sexually abusing more than twenty (20) children at his local mosque in Fijai Zongo area of Takoradi
According to information gathered by Hellovybes.com, the alleged victims are both boys and girls between the ages of six (6) and ten (10).
Residents claim the suspect built a respected image within the community before the disturbing allegations surfaced and triggered anger among parents and local leaders.
Sources familiar with the situation allege that Mallam Anas may have been involved in similar cases in other communities where he previously lived.
Some residents believe that past accusations against him date back to 2008, which led to his removal and banishment from certain areas in Effia Kuma.

The allegations reportedly caused outrage among parents, leading several families to withdraw their children from the Islamic school, whose identity has been withheld, after suspicions emerged about the cleric’s alleged inappropriate conduct involving some students.
Following the growing concerns, the suspect allegedly relocated to the nearby community of Fijai, where he reportedly continued his teaching activities at a local mosque.
Reports indicate that some students attended classes in the morning while others participated in evening sessions.
The case gained widespread public attention after audio recordings allegedly linked to one of the victims surfaced online and began circulating across social media platforms.
In the recordings, the suspect was allegedly heard speaking with a young boy while attempting to convince him not to reveal details of the alleged incident to anyone.
Reports further suggest that concerns intensified after two siblings allegedly complained of unusual pain, prompting their family to question them about what had happened.
During the conversation, Anas went on to ask the young boy if he was suffering from piles locally known as ‘kooko’.
He then attempted to outsmart him by instructing him to read more Quran verses if he truly wishes to be relieved from his situation.
The revelations reportedly led to growing suspicion within the community and eventually exposed the alleged incidents.
In another alleged phone conversation, the suspect reportedly spoke with the father of one of the children after community members confronted him over the accusations.
The audio has since fueled anger among residents, many of whom are demanding swift action from law enforcement authorities.
Following increasing pressure from the community and calls for his arrest, Mallam Anas reportedly fled the area before police could apprehend him.
Authorities are currently investigating the allegations and have launched efforts to track down the suspect.
The incident has shocked many residents in Effia Kuma and surrounding parts of Takoradi, with several community members expressing disappointment over the allegations against someone they once trusted and respected.
While many residents are calling for justice and protection for the affected children, others have urged the public to avoid using the incident to negatively stereotype the Islamic faith.
