John Dramani Mahama met with incumbent President H.E Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to begin the transition process.
The meeting comes few hours after Mahama unveiled his ten team members who will work closely with him following the declaration of the 2024 general elections.
The President-elect’s decision to choose the members is intended to offer their aid and support to him in order to restore the dead economy left by the outgoing leaders.
On his arrival to the Jubilee House, John Mahama with his vice Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang alongside his entourage, were welcomed warmly by Akufo Addo.

They exchanged pleasantries, shook hands and took pictures together demonstrating peace and calm despite the NPP’s dismal defeat in the recent election.
As collation continues, some other constituencies’ results have yet to be declared.
So far, Mahama has thirteen regions, while Bawumia has three with independent candidates earning 4 slots.
Other constituencies’ parliamentary results also face difficulties due to a collation error by polling station agents and returning officers, causing pandemonium among candidates and supporters.
John Mahama, on the other hand, will officially take over as Ghana’s president on January 7, 2025, succeeding Akufo Addo’s administration.
