Kudus Mohammed has scored his first career free kick at Ajax as he dedicated his goal to Christian Atsu who died through tragic earthquake in Turkey.
Kudus scored a fantastic free kick behind the 18-yard box against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday February 19, 2023 at Johan Cruijff Arena.
Kudus failed to score against Union Berlin in the Europa League (play-offs) last week, but has scored in three consecutive Eredivisie League matches for Ajax.

He has 15 goals and three assists for the Netherlands this season throughout all competitions.
Kudus’ goal to honor Christian Atsu came on 84 minutes as a free kick in the final part of the game, when he slotted the ball into the net on the left corner side.
During the celebration, Mohammed Kudus pulled up his jersey with another white T-shirt with an inscription of “RIP Atsu”.

Ajax won the match by a big margin, defeating Sparta Rotterdam (4-0) thanks to goals from Tadic (2), K. Taylor (1), and Kudus Mohammed (1).
