Kofitiakrom in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region is going viral after the youths in the locality expressed their discontent by rejecting and destroying dual desks donated by Colonel Kwadwo Damoah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the constituency and their reasons will shock you.
Despite the need for desks in the town’s public school, the youth made it clear that their primary concern was the lack of mobile network coverage in the area which destabilizes their phones calls and access to internet.
They voiced that a mobile network was more critical for their community’s development and connectivity than the provision of desks.

The desks were intended for a basic school in the community, addressing a significant need for seating for the students.
“We appreciate the gesture, but without a mobile network, our ability to communicate and access information is severely hampered,” a resident said.
According to them, Colonel Kwadwo Damoah failed to address the immediate priorities of the community.

The video was posted on X by @eddie_wrt and showed the youth venting their displeasure while the truck with the school furniture was discharging the items.
