Chef Smith also known as Chef Ebenezer Smith has publicly rendered a apologised to Ghanaians for presenting fake cook-a-thon Gunness World Record (GWR) certificate celebrity news.
In a self-recorded video, Chef Smith can be seen sobbing uncontrollably and stating that he was denied a Guinness World Record after failing his 30-day cooking marathon.
He emphasises that the reason for the move was to offer him with a platform for the world to recognize his culinary skills and efforts.
He claims that his application was rejected, Smith citing that his intention was not to deceive the public, but rather to put food on the table for himself and his family as to get a which led to his mess.
Chef Smith then issued a heartfelt apologies to Nana Boroo and Amadia Shopping Centre, who arrested him for breach of contract at his press conference, as well as the Ghana Chef Association, which disowned him and stripped of his Chef title.
Ex-president John Mahama, and his wife Lordina Mahama are among those personalities he pleaded with for his unaccepted behavior.
‘I’m apologizing to the Ghanaian, the World, John Mahama, Lordina Mahama, Nana Boroo, Amadia Shopping Centre, that i am so sorry. I didn’t deserve to live, but I was trying to provide for myself and my family. But it’s landed me this way . I am sorry, and I beg the entire nation,” Chef Smith stated, tears in his eyes, while kneeling with two others.
When questioned if he was confirmed to go with the attempt, Smith stated, “I registered and submitted it but was turned down by the Guinness World Records authority for not following their requirements, but I went ahead to preform my cook-a-than because I wanted publicity.

Chef Smith’s incident came to light after he announced himself as the new GWR cook-a-thon record holder, claiming to have surpassed Alan Fisher’s record.
The apology came after his assistant chef, Leticia Marketie Sankah, who participated in the cooking marathon, expressed regret for her involvement in the event.
She was also present and a member of Smith’s management team that held the initial press conference last week to display the certificate, which was later exposed as a forgery.
Leticia emphasises in her apology that she has learned from her actions and is prepared to make restitution as a result of the occurrence despite the fact that the certificate was forged.
She then expressed her heartfelt gratitude to fans for continuing to support her during challenging times in the effort to correct the problem that had angered many Ghanaians.
“To my family, friends, and the public, I offer my sincerest apologies for my involvement in Chef Smith’s cooking marathon.
“I was unaware of the fraudulent intentions and believed I was supporting a friend in a legitimate endeavor. My intention was to showcase my culinary skills and support someone I trusted.
“However, I now understand that my actions contributed to the situation. I take full responsibility for my part and assure you that I have learned from this experience.
“I regret any harm and disappointment caused to my loved ones and appreciate their support.
