Jay-Z has called out Recording Academy/GRAMMYS for snubbing his wife, Beyoncé’s albums as he won the Dr Dre Global Impact Awards at the 66th Grammy awards.
During his acceptance speech for the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the 66th Grammy Awards, Jay-Z expressed dissatisfaction with the continuous oversight of his wife Beyoncé by the awards scheme.
The celebrated rapper highlighted that his wife Beyoncé is constantly being scrutinized by the awards scheme, despite being the artist who won the top award.
He emphasized that he was not among the winners in the album category.
He questioned this discrepancy, pointing to Beyoncé’s impressive record of 32 Grammy Awards, making her the most awarded artist in Grammy history.

Jay-Z highlights the contradiction in not winning Album of the Year and questions the award system’s own criteria.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone, and never won album of the year,” He said.
Jay-Z continued “Even by your own metric that does not work. Think about that, most Grammys, never won album of the year. How does that work?
“When I get nervous, I tell the truth”— He concluded.
