Celebrated Jamaican dancehall act, Vybz Kartel was released from prison yesterday and the news has set the dancehall fraternity around the globe on fire as their biggest act is now a free man.
Dancehall artiste around the world are paying homage to the man who used to run the affairs of the genre until his incarceration in 2011 for the murder of a music executive.
Joining the list to pay homage is multiple award winning Ghanaian reggae dancehall act, Stonebwoy who took to his X account to celebrate the release of Vybz Kartel.

The current artiste of the year also used the opportunity to pitch his upcoming Bhim Festival as he makes a request that the world boss should pass through.
“Adidja Azim Palmer. Road Ago Bun Up. Free at Last. Bhimfestival ?????,” he wrote.
Shatta Wale has also made celebratory posts across his social media platforms since his release as reported yesterday.

Vybz Kartel was set free after Jamaica’s Court of Appeal ruled against a retrial of him and his co-accused for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
Justice Marva McDonald-Bishop, who led the three-judge panel, announced the unanimous decision yesterday.
Although Kartel’s 13-year-old sentence has had a devastation on his musical career, however he can’t wait to ramp up his lyrical prowess in the Caribbean music sector.
