An alleged leaked letter from the University of Ghana’s Office of the Registrar has confirmed that Malik Basintale, who is reportedly being considered for appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), has not been officially awarded a degree by the institution.
The degree verification letter, dated 27th May 2025, was addressed to the Civil Service Council in response to a request to authenticate a degree certificate allegedly held by Mr. Basintale.
The request came amid public interest after questioning his academic credentials, especially as his potential appointment to a top government position gains attention.
